Description

A painted color image of an underwater scene with a diver in a vintage dive suit with a heavy, bucket-like helmet; the diver has a gloved hand on a side fin of a shark it is handling. Small fish school around the shark, and in the foreground a large fish, a grouper, is pictured. Air bubbles billow up from the diver's helmet. Text in the upper right corner reads "M-3---Diver and Shark at Marineland Studios, Marineland, Fla." The back of the postcard reads: Giant sharks are hypodermicly drugged upon capture for Marineland Studios. Here is shown a Marineland Studios' diver, "walking" a drugged Tiger of the Sea to revive it from the effects of the drug. In the foreground a giant grouper takes his afternoon siesta. Marine Studios, the world's only oceanarium, is located 18 miles south of Saint Augustine on the Ocean Boulevard, Florida Route #1."
